Are ceramic tile floors in style?

Ceramic tile has been a "go-to" building material for interiors for centuries, and it will never go out of style. Floor tile is one of those materials that looks just as stylish in the living room and hallway as it does in the kitchen and bath. With an almost unlimited number of colors, designs, shapes, and sizes in the inventory in our tile store, there are constant new takes on the favored classics, and we can thank modern technology for that.

Trending for 2021

In our tile shop, you'll see everything from Art Deco styles to Greek and Roman-themed mosaics, as well as neutral, earthy, nature-inspired tones, wood looks, and colorful geometrics. Mosaics, tiny, often glass-coated pebble-like pieces, are frequently installed on bathroom floors, as much for their style as their many grout lines enhance ceramic tile's traction.

Wood floors are expected to continue trending for at least 15 years, but genuine wood can't be used everywhere, as it can be damaged by excess moisture. One of the most popular alternatives is a wood-look tile in assorted colors with raised grains and other textures and can be cut into planks of any size.

Terracotta bricks, with their excellent reddish-brown color that works so well in rustic decors, are making a come-back to the indoors. Whether natural or stone-look, Stone tile is widespread, especially terrazzo and earthy palette of slate, travertine, and limestone.

Big and bold

Large-format tiles are all the rage right now, and they keep getting bigger. Here, you'll want to check out our inventory of porcelain, which can get as large as 25 X 25, comes in countless colors and patterns, and can be made to look like anything from leather and fabric to wood and stone. But, of course, it's often the preferred choice for wood-look tile because of the fewer seams.
